For this purpose, postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayamas), mantras and finger positions (mudras) are used in classes.

Kundalini Yoga is not about the perfect execution of exercises, but about experiencing yourself.

Because only through self-awareness can self-confidence arise.

 

Kundalini Yoga offers you a variety of tools to reduce stress, it trains your nervous system and helps you to cope with the large number of impressions nowadays. It supports you mentally to be calmer and clearer and to rest in your center, regardless of what is happening around you.

You don't need any previous knowledge to start Kundalini Yoga.

Anyone can participate regardless of age, gender or physical shape. You will be picked up where you are.

The origin of Kundalini Yoga

 

Kundalini Yoga was brought to the USA from India by Yogi Bhajan in the late 1960s. He was actually forbidden to bring it to the West, because like many old powerful techniques, this yoga was kept secret for a long time. However, times changed and Yogi Bhajan followed his inner call to spread these Kundalini Yoga techniques in the USA and the world.

The intention was to support people to come into their full strength and to be able to deal with the changing times.

At the end of 1960 there were many hippies around the world and in the western United States. The use of drugs was widespread in the communities in order to be able to experience oneself and the divine. Yogi Bhajan recognized this and brought the tools of Kundalini Yoga to these communities in order to enable people to come back into contact with their divine core, away from drugs. So this was the starting point for the dissemination of the teachings of "Kundalini Yoga according to Yogi Bhajan". Kundalini Yoga finally came to Europe from the USA.
